Not So B&W: Christine “Buns”

Being human to me is...  existing. I think it’s breathing, living and experiencing everything that comes with having consciousness in a fleshy meat body.

I do think it means experiencing simple and complex emotions- emotions relatable to any other human being with enough empathy. I really personally believe we’re not individual human beings having separate spiritual experiences but rather one spiritual being having many human experiences.

With this, being human to me also means being able to relate with and connect with each other's emotions. I think music, art, dance, rhythm or flow are all deeply embedded in our biology and have a relatable human language all in their own. I think most if not all humans experience emotions and then because of that, we must also all share the need to express or release those emotions.

As an artist in different mediums, I do see it as a responsibility or goal to help evoke feelings otherwise hard to express for humans. I know music and art have helped me feel grounded and connected to something much deeper and bigger when everything else felt empty, and I really want to preserve and help create that experience for other humans.

I almost want to help people feel like every single motion or action in their daily lives is poetry, and in some chaotically organized way, a synchronized dance with the rest of humanity going about their daily lives too. Hopefully this all makes some sense. Lmao thank you for me ted talk come sit in an ayahuasca circle with me, buns. You, me, we all beans. Human beans.
